Where can I find PHP web developers to hire for small projects?
I'm interested in hiring a PHP web developer for several small projects (under $1,000 paid for each web page project). The typical projects would include a site that has a submission form, a confirmation page, sending the data to the database, and having some kind of web admin page for the admin team to review submissions. What would the typical hourly rate be for an independent PHP developer?

There are many forums out there with people willing to do work for you, i would recommend phpfreaks.com. Other than that you can go to freelancing websites like http://www.peopleperhour.com
I don't know the US hourly rate cos I'm British but it is negotiable with the freelancer.

A 4 or 5 page php data entry application is a pretty easy task for a qualified php/mysql programmer. Rates will vary, but the project you describe should be a max of 1-2 hours worth of work including testing time.
