why is atp important for cells in what organelle is most atp produced?

    ATP gives the cell the energy it needs to carry out many chemical reactions including the breakdown of glucose for energy.Cells cannot live without ATP.Most ATP is produced in the mitochondria aka the powerhouse of the cell.
