The two party system allows for political debate and prevents establishing a "dynasty" in the political system (no one party can dominate over the government)

Also, the people's opinions and free speech/freedom of the press help

Because we base our political system on the opinion of the people who will be governed by it, we let our moral compass guide us and base our decisions on what is best for the country as a whole. There are checks and balances to prevent any one group from gaining absolute control and becoming a tyrant.

Judicial system set up right. We elect our representatives from the local level on up to president. That doesn' mean there aren't any crooks in the system though!
