Israel's right to exist debate?
Its to my understanding that Israel was given to the jewish people, after britain decided to give them the land after world war 2. The british had taken the land over from the palestinian's by force and then redistributed to the jews and created the state that we now know as israel. Im pretty sure that this is fact. But most people dont know about it.
The next step in my logical thinking is well how would I feel if somebody came into my house, kicked my ***, and then said that the living room was now going to belong to my neighboor.
I wouldnt be too happy. My jewish friend made the argument that the land israel exists on was Britian's to give away. That once something is stolen from you by force it doesnt belong to you anymore but to the victor go the spoils.
I can see why there is conflict, what is your take on it?
Just like we pushed them out by force, britain did the same.
Its not like jewish people are to blame but people have to understand where the resentment comes from.
next time I see a pro-israel shirt it will make me think twice about the message
The british mandate of palestine.
