Not all consulting services in Ontario are subject to PST.

Refer to page 15. In my role as a software consultant, I do not charge PST.

The proper name of PST in Ontario is RETAIL sales tax.

GST is 5%. Ontario PST is 8%

Provincial sales Tax and products and facilities Tax. the federal government is making plans to combine the two taxes into one harmonized tax yet for a similar proportion of the two taxes mixed. it could have that's experts and cons. it will be stable for small business enterprise proprietors to report their taxes. it will be a downside for human beings making plans to purchase a clean living house as they are going to be paying greater taxes.
