don't count on it, the oil companies always have a reason to raise it and summer is coming so be prepared to pay close to $4.00 a gallon pretty soon.

In the uk we are cheated by unfair tax on petrol. It is now £1.10 a litre. If we all got together and refused to buy petrol for, say 1 full month, the price would drop dramatically. With the right organising the public can call the shots here and eventually force the fuel taxes to be halved or even abolished. It just needs determination and the internet!

World's petrol reserve is getting depleted. Also, because of the increased usage, the world market, with the available supply, is unable to meet the demand. Therefore, the price will be ever increasing. If some new non-conventional fuel which is cheaper is found and brought to use, the price of petrol will automatically fall.

They will fluctuate up and down, but will continue to follow an upward trend as demand increases and supplies decrease. The only way they'll go down is for the demand to go down. We desperately need an alternative to petroleum. There are some research going on about making biodiesel from algae grown from sewage. We need to push for more of these alternative fuels.

Exxon/Mobile made 1.7 BILLION dollars in profit last year. They love all that money in their pockets. I'm sure thy would love to make more. I doubt the prices will go down. :(
