If the skin tones are off, you need to adjust the color settings of the set. The settings are preset at the factory to a general middle ground, but ambient lighting conditions in your home can really throw off the apparent tones. Access the menu to adjust the skin tones to your liking. Sadly, live sports are the hardest sell for LCD tvs, because the persisence of the LCDs tends to make for ghosting on the screen during high speed motion. Better LCDs have lower persistence and don't suffer this problem. Plasma sets also have much less issue with persistence. CRTs don't suffer this particular problem, but they are going obsolete. In the future, getting a CRT HDTV will probably be harder than getting a tube amplifier for your stereo.
