What is a FEVER for a teenage boy?

My brother is a 97.7 degrees and I want to know if that's a fever. If it isn't than what is.

97.7 F is a normal body temperature. The average normal body temperature is 98.6 F, but thats just an average and some people run normally higher and others lower. A fever is anything over 100.5 F. A temperature of 99 F or 100 F wouldn't be considered abnormal. Small fluxuations are perfectly normal.

That is not a fever, regular body temp is 98.6, a low grade fever is 100, a fever is 101 and up.

hes kinda below normal body temperature.

It'd be REALLY hard to get a fever with your body temp. below normal.
