1099-MISC income for Indiana non-resident?

I am a resident of Illinois but earned income as a consultant in Indiana. I have received a 1099-MISC from my Indiana employer. Do I have to pay Indiana state taxes on that income?

I suggest contacting the Indiana Department of Revenue to find out for sure.

There are certain circumstances that might require you to file an Indiana tax return.

Your resident state is Illinois. You pay taxes in the state you live.
