    「休假日」叫 a day off。(不是 an off day,an off day 是表現不好的一天。)

3 days off in a row, 3 days off on end, 3 consecutive days off

    把 xxx 加總 = add up xxx。

    加 xxx = add xxx

乘上 xxx = multiply by xxx

末尾兩位數 = the last 2 digits (digit = 位數)

將 xxx 減 ooo = take (away) ooo out of xxx;minus ooo from xxx

(三天) 連休的第一天 = the first day of the (3) days off

Please pick out 3 days off in a row/on end.

Ask the audience to use a calculator and add up the three numbers, then add 27, and then multiply by 67.

(Take back the calculator) Take a look at the last 2 digits and then take away 10 out of the 2-digit number (in mind). Now that’s the first day of your days off.

J: I’d like you to pick out 3 days off of yours. Any 3 days in a row.

    A: …OK.

    A: …好了。

J: (Hand over a calculator when saying this) Now add up the 3 numbers of the days. You don’t need it? Just… just do me a favor and take it. Trust me, you’ll need it later.

    A: OK…I’m done.

    A: OK…

J: Now please add 27 to it…and then multiply by 67…Now you don’t need the calculator. Can I have it back? (Take back the calculator) Thank you.

J: (Take a look at the last 2 digits and then take away 10 out of the 2-digit number) Now…moment of truth…I believe the first day of your days off is…(announce the answer).
