Did this psychiatrist breach patient doctor confidentiality???

recently i was in the hospital and i spoke to a psychiatrist....i answered all her questions and she told my mom i smoked weed...did she breach patient doctor confidentiality?? i'm 16

No its wasn't breached.They can talk to your parents unless you are 18. When you turn 18 you can sign a waver saying that you do not want your parents to know anything even if they ask.
They can only tell someone else if they think you are going to harm yourself or others (suiscide, homicide)

Nope, you're a juvenile, so no expectation of privacy from your parents in most states.

You're a minor, so no. Especially if you are engaging in illegal or potentially dangerous activity.
