Why have my Pokemon never evolved with a stone?

i.e. - gave a shiny stone to a Roselia and even when she leveled up, she did not evolve.

That's because you have to "use" the Shiny Stone on Roselia for it to evolve, not making it hold it. Like a Super Potion or a Revive, why have you never evolved another Pokemon with Evolution Stones?

Here are your problems:

1) You have to use the shiny stone on her, not give it to her.

2) It has to be daytime.

Sometimes there are other requirements. I think you need to max the beauty stat for roselia.

use it on her. if it doesnt work use a ditterent stone.
