    16 lies.

    4 divided by 1/4 equals 4 times 4/1, or 4 times 4, which equals 16.

    all you do is, there are 4 1/4inches in every inch. so u have to do 4 times 4, because there are 4 quarters in every inch so u can either do 4 times 4 or u can do 1/4 + 1/4 +1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 + 1/4 +1/4 + 1/4 +1/4 + 1/4 +1/4 + 1/4 +1/4 + 1/4 +1/4 + 1/4 and that will give you 16.

    his nose is 4/1 and grows 1/4 every lie. change the denominator of both of them to the same thing, in this case 4. so his nose would be 4/1x4/4=16/4. now 1/4 fits in 16/4 16times. so pinocchio has lied 16 times.

    4 inches divided by 1/4 inch (.25) per lie = 16 lies

    He would have lied 16 times

    I did this by remembering that it takes 4 parts to get a full 1/4. So I multiplied that 4 buy the number of total inches

    lie = 1/4 "

    4 lies = 1"

    16 lies = 4"

    4" x 4 lies = 16 lies

    or

    4"/1/4" = 16 lies

    Well, you divide 1/4 by 4...which is 16 becasue you flip 1/4 making it 4. So you then have 4 x 4 which is 16

    16 lies!
