    The Harris County Appraisal district

EDIT..YES, You can view deeds and transfer at the appraisal district. They receive that information to be able to change the ownership and access the appraisals. The appraisal district does not tax, that is the Tax office.

  • You can view them both at The Clerk Office and at the Appraisal District. I used to work for HCAD and we had the deeds scanned in. The Clerk office send HCAD any information on name changes, sells etc of property.

    This is all public information.

    Harris County, County clerk's office.

EDIT: Sorry, Happy Horn, the HCAD is the property taxing entity and does property tax appraisals. The Harris County clerk has deeds and records on file.

OK, I stand corrected. I learn something new every day!
