I have a long, heart-shaped face. What would be a good hairstyle for me?
I have really thick, straight brown hair which is currently a little below my shoulders.

If you have stright hair try bangs and maybe a few layers:
If you have wavy hair try side bangs and a few layers: http://access.nscpcdn.com/gallery/i/d/duff2007/duf...

Heart Face Shape: The heart-shaped face is wide in the eye and cheekbone area with a narrow or pointy chin. Many heart-shaped faces also have a high forehead. For long hair styles, add long, wavy layers around your cheekbones that fall in the neck area. For shorter hair, add top layers that are long and soft. Side-swept bangs are a great technique to lessen the width and height of the forehead area. Avoid blunt-cut bangs, short hair, ponytails and choppy layers. Subtle layering is much more flattering. Celebrities with Heart Shaped Face include: Brittany Murphy, Reese Witherspoon and Scarlett Johannson. Heart-shaped face The heart shaped face is widest at the temples and narrowest at the chin, which can appear pointy. Short hair and chin length hair often looks great on this face shape, as the fullness can even out the jaw and chin lines. Chin length bobs, short shags, swept forward layers and wispy bangs all work well. Avoid full styles that emphasise the upper face without balancing out your narrow chin. Too much height at the crown and tapered necklines will make you look top heavy.

Face is wide at the temples and hairline, narrowing to a small delicate chin.
Chin-length or longer styles. Side-parted hair styles. Swept-forward layers around the upper face, gently wispy bangs. A chin length bob is great on your face shape! This creates a balanced look by giving fullness where you need it. You can wear shorter styles, however, if you are a dramatic heart shape you need to leave weight in the back nape area. This will achieve more balance between your dramatic cheekbones and more narrowing chin.
Short, full styles that emphasize upper face. Height at the crown. Severe, slicked back looks. If you are a dramatic heart shape, the short full styles with tapered necklines which emphasize the upper face will make you look top heavy. Too much height at the crown will give the appearance of a longer and narrower chin. Just remember if you have a dramatic heart shape face, you have great cheekbones to emphasize! Don't miss the boat by getting a cut which is to top heavy.Source(s): http://www.visual-makeover.com/face.htm http://www.visual-makeover.com/images/celebs/Jenni...

Slightly Swept Bangs
The first style here is a simple multi-layer cut that uses the bangs to slightly enhance the facial features. The crown of the hair is still the focus, thus the lack of curls or extra waviness. The ends are left choppy but frame the face well. A very easy look that many women will find a good change.

Medium cut with bangs & lots of layers. So your face won't seem as long as it is with just a straight cut. Add some volume with a few layers.
Good example here: Hilary duff with long w/ long heart shaped face and this is the hairstyle i'm talking about
Bangs make your face appear shorter because they cover up a particularly large forehead. Shy away from blunt bangs & go for sideswept bangs like Hilary Duff (see picture).
Avoid: Stay away from extremely long or short cuts. These elongate your face.

I agree with p.h. Get a bob. Chin length with bangs that just cover the eyebrows.
If you feel a bit adventurous get an "emo" cut.
Where all the hair is around chin length with LOTS O LAYERS!
It's a fun hair style that you can do alot to.
