Molasses fermentation/ Rum?

I've been trying for a while to ferment Molasses but I'm not sure I'm doing it right. I know that the environment needs to be anaerobic for the yeast to work properly but I'm wondering if just regular bakers yeast and molasses will work or if I will need some extra ingredients.
