Best Guitar Solo on Film -

    -- Alvin Lee was off-the-hook!!

P.S - I love The Who - but this was not their best Performance IMHO - plus they claim that they hated the whole Woodstock experience...

Did you know that Iron Butterfly demanded a Helicopter, because of the Traffic - The promoter said, "sure" - then slammed the phone down and said "F*k Iron Butterfly!!" LOL

It was on VH1 just a few weeks ago and I caught a good bit of it.

Ten Years After gets my vote. <(In part because they were my very first concert and therefore on my sentimental radar, as well as a great performance of a great song: I'm Going Home)>

I gotta tell ya, tho.... Santana's Soul Sacrifice just DOES IT for me, as well! :-)

I suspect I don't even have to say it, but The Who.

From the sun rising just at the end of Tommy to the whole Abbie Hoffman "incident," it made for a memorable show.
