how do i calculate my closing stock

You mean merchandise inventory? You can obtain your closing stock by printing out the stock list from your computer if you're using the perpetual method. If you're using the periodic method, go to the warehouse, count the stocks and find out how much you paid for them and add up all the costs. That is your closing stock. It also depends on your company's accounting policy. Are you using FIFO, LIFO, weighted average or specific identification?

Learn a little more and ask a question that makes sense. Your closing stock price is available on line at your brokers site.
