Here's a short list of different kinds of revolvers:

    Ball & Cap; Rimfire single-action; Rimfire double-action; Double-action (centerfire); Breaktop; snub-nose; buntline; target revolvers w/adjustible sights; shrouded-hammer or 'hammerless' revolvers; five-shot revolvers; six-shooters (6 shot revolvers); seven-shot revolvers; eight-shot revolvers & even nine-shot .22 rimfire revolvers.

This list is, of course, incomplete.

well i don't know what you mean by "kinds of revolvers". if you are talking about the actions then two the single and double actions. the single you have to cock the hammer after every shot. the double action is like a semi automatic it reloads itself. if you are talking about the brand there are many colt, smith and wesson, etc. hope this helps.

A revolver is a revolver. If you mean manufacturers, the list is a long one.

Revolvers..There are "basically" 2... Single Action and Double Action "Revolvers"..Single Action you c**k the hammer for each individual shot. Double Action you just pull the trigger.

Revolvers have a rotating Cylinder that the cartridges are loaded into and "revolve" with each shot fired..Hence the name revolver.......

They come in many calibers (Size & Diameters of cartridges) and types of frames.....

There are also semi-automatic Pistols/Handguns but they are not called REVOLVERS.....

There are two Single action and Doubal action.

Single action is where you have to manualy C O C K the hammer.

Double action you can C O C K the hammer but manualy doing it (SIngle action) or just use the trigger to C O C K the hammer and then let it off.
