Life in Venezuela?

Hi, I am studying Venezuela for a project and I need to know about how everday life is in Venezuela. Also what would it be like for an average teenager? Please don't leave dumb answers like "idk", I really need an honest answer for this, thanks :)

well i'm from venezuela and I'm a teenager (I'm 17) and well my life it's pretty normal in here... every day I just go to clases (I'm a freshman in college) and then go out with my friends, watch tv, listen to music and stuffs like that I don't really think that it's that different to the life in the states exept that here there are less cool places to hang out and stuff like that...

If you want to know about traditons and thing like that well that changes with every family and teenagers in general aren't very fond to traditions... some people do go to church very sunday since here almost everybody is catholic... and some may have some traditions according to their religion... but I personally don't have any...

Another thing that young people do here (not every day though =D) is being more active in politics... we try to go to protests (i don't know if that's the right word) and get involved in political events... everything we can do to stop Chavez from impose a dictatorship in the country... but u know we don't really feel chavez's goberment right now in our regular everyday life, at least not if u have enough money to pay for private education and health because here everything public sucks heh

Besides that everything here is pretty much the same that in the states... the changes are in the details like here we don't go to see football games we go to see soccer baseball or baskeball games, all the schools (just elementary and high schools not college) have uniforms; the legal ages for doing stuff here are differents... legal driving age in here is 18 as it is for drinking and clubbing (but of course everyone finds ways to avoid this rules;) )

there's one thing though that it's pretty different and it's the college life... here we don't have dorm rooms inside the universities so people just stay home or stay in off campus residences... so that's one thing we don't experience...

well that's everything I can tell u... I really hope it helps =D

btw if u need any information more specific just ask!!

Oh and sorry for my really crappy english...

This is a very subjective question, i dont usually like to be involved in Politics, but the life in Venezuela is not as bad as they say, like the girl above me, saying that here isnt freedom of speech and no freedom at all its taking things too far.
