Actors Guild Award show?

How come the writer's strike doesn't affect the Actors Guild Awards, but it affects the Golden Globes and Oscars? Just wondering.

They got a writer's guild waiver for the show. They didn't get one for the Globes. They will need to get one for the Oscars or they could be cancelled too.

It all depends on the union. They can grant permission for writers to work by making deals with a production company like they did with World Wide Pants so Letterman and Ferguson could come back with writers.

Probably because its an award show put on by their actual union. Like a giant union meeting/party, and the others are put on by other agencies.
