Information is factual data given to you that you can use to reach an accurate conclusion.

Misinformation is non-factual data accidentally given to you that you can use to reach an inaccurate conclusion.

Disinformation is non-factual data deliberately given to you to keep you from reaching an accurate conclusion.

Misinformation could be a result of hasty reference work.

Disinformation was used to some success by the US military in WWII.
