Looking for a book...?

....I'm looking for basically a weaker version of The God Delusion because...quite honestly...I'm scared to read it for awhile...

Any ideas?

A weaker version? Actually, the book isn't all that bad (don't be afraid!); in fact its rather good as is all of Dawkins' books... but then again maybe I like Richard Dawkins a little too much. ;)

Here is some other books along the same line:

Living in the Light by Anne R. Stone (This is a short book)

The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark by Carl Sagan

Breaking the Spell: Religion as a Natural Phenomenon by Daniel C. Dennett

    Natural Atheism by David Eller

Why I Am Not a Christian and Other Essays on Religion and Related Subjects by Bertrand Russell

Losing Faith in Faith: From Preacher to Atheist by Dan Barker

    The End of Faith

    Letters to a Christian Nation

    Breaking the Spell

Why I Am Not A Christian

    Atheism: The Case Against God

    Antheist Universe

    God is Not Great

Although, you really should read The God Delusion; it's excellent.

How about "The Christ Conspiracy The Greatest Story ever sold" by Acharya S. It doesn't try to prove that there is no god, but instead shows how Christianity was influenced, if not entirely inspired by, other previous religions. Basically, it shows that Christianity was a piecemeal of different older religions, not something new.
