If God made everything, why didn't he have to say "let there be dark" before making the light?

    Because the absence of light is dark. Therefore before the light was created all was dark.

    BEING is and BECOMING is by desire. No words are needed. The bible writers just put words into the bible to make people relate better. In truth all the Prophets including Jesus simply felt the way of BEING that best fit their desired way of life. FEEL your way through life for it is the surest guide to your desired path.
