Models do "NOT!!!" have a perfect figure. They are far too thin. The vast majority of humans are not naturally that shape. Only a very small number of people are that shape, it is very wrong for that to be presented as the ideal figure. They are portrayed as models, and the ideal image, because most people cannot be that shape, but will spend a fortune trying to get it. They leave young girls feeling depressed and desperate at their inability to become what the mass media presents as 'normal.' Models are NOT normal, their entire lives are spent staying thin, their every action is determined by their waste size. I think that we would all be a lot better off if we simply chose to completely ignore the mass media's representations of perfection and simply got on with our lives, no matter what our shape is.
