Do home drug tests test to see if the sample is actually urine? Just wondering.

Normally home drug tests just test the sample for the drug in question. They don't test whether the sample is really urine, or whether it is too dilute or not. You can buy adulteration / dilution tests to verify the sample is real and normal, but it isn't a standard test.
But be advised, although a normal home drug test doesn't test if the sample is urine or not, if you adulterate the sample you will just kill the chemistry in the test and the control line part of the test will show that the sample was invalid.
