How much can you make in the state of maryland and still claim exempt?

Im 18 making $10 an hour in a warehouse. Im wondering if i can file an exemption without oweing at the end of the year.

    If you are working full time you'd make too much to claim exempt. Even working half time you'd most likely have tax liability for the year, so would not be allowed to file exempt.

    Assuming you are not a dependent, and you are single and don't have any dependents, or adjustments, or deductions other than the standard deduction, you can make $8750 and still file as exempt.

    You probably dont want to file exempt. I live in Anne Arundel Co. and so does my co worker and he filed exempt the year before last and last year when he did his taxes he had to pay it all back. He ended up having to pay like $4500 back in taxes it sucked
