AARP medigap insurance?
My AARP medigap insurance(Plan F) has gone up so I get less each month for my social security. Can anyone tell me which insurance is as good or better?

Why don't you just downgrade to a lower plan? You are already enrolled, so you don't have any PECE (Pre-Existing Condition Exclusions) or subjected to Medical Underwriting, so why not just go to a lower plan, a Plan B will work just as well, and the only thing you would be out of pocket would be your Part B Deductible once a year ($135 for 2008)
Depending on your state, you may have all 12 plans available to you, (A - L) you don't have to take the more popular plan, look at other options.
However, a few things to keep in mind as you shop with other carries, ask how future rates are determined, AARP (depending on state) uses a Community Rating, while other providers use Attained Age & Community...Source(s): Licensed Insurance Producer
