Oh, it's really very simple. See, some terrorists had this real nasty habit of strapping bombs round their waists and then hurling themselves into crowded Israeli restaurants, nightclubs, hospitals and schools. One such terrorist disguised himself as an orthodox Jew - and thus managed to detonate his bomb. Others have slipped through under the guise of being pregnant women. Did you know that the Palestinians even strap explosives to CHILDREN?

So Israel decided that, rather than just roll over and let the terrorists achieve their goal of killing every last Jew in the country, they would do what any other nation would, and protect their citizens.

And that is the reason. It has nothing to do with 'oppressing' anyone. Only somebody who has never been to Israel could even suggest anything so ludicrous.

You all know the tragedy that happened in New York on 9/11 and you know how America has responded. Well, Israel has to deal with deaths due to terrorism on a DAILY BASIS.

Israel wants its citizens to be protected from lunatics that detonate suicide bombs amongst civilian populations. It isnt hard to understand really.

One reason. Israel is carrying out the usa agenda of OPPRESSING the poor Palestinian people. That's why. To all of you ignorant propoganda puppets below me; Israeli soldiers also have a "habit" of killing unarmed palestinian children, and bombing the palestinians into submission.
