Portland Oregon Outlet Malls and other shopping?

Going to Portland Oregon this weekend and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of any outlet malls in the area. Where I live currently, we don't have outlets. You have to go out of state to do any outlet shopping. So I was just wondering if there were any in the area around Portland. Also, some tips on some good malls or good districts with unique shops and cafes.

There are two malls, both about 20 minutes or so outside of Portland. You would need a car. Woodburn is south on I-5, while the Troutdale outlet mall is west on I-84. Troutdale is probably a bit closer than Woodburn. There are 2 outlet stores in the city that I know of. There is an Adidas outlet store on NE MLK Blvd. at NE Alberta St. There is also a Columbia Sports outlet store located at 1323 SE Tacoma St.

The above neighborhoods are good recommendations...Hawthorne, NE 21st/23rd, NE Alberta St (btwn 15th or so and 33rdish), NE Mississippi, Sellwood (that's very near the Columbia outlet store), SE Clinton/Division. Portland is full of unique areas and great food. Check out citysearch.com for lots of info.

There are not really that many outlet shops right in Portland. The Woodburn stores get a big crowd, but again they are not in Portland, more like 30-45 minutes away to the south. There is also an outlet mall...think it's called Columbia Gorge outlet mall or something like that, it is east of Portland along I-84, though again about 20-25 minutes from Portland.

Lloyd Center mall in Portland is the largest mall in Oregon and has many of the same stores as malls all across the country. There are also unique shops about 2-3 blocks away from Lloyd Center along NE Broadway.

NW 23rd and Hawthorne are also good for unique shopping as well as the Pearl District, though prices can be quite high there. And remember, no sales tax! :)

Woodburn Factory Outlet Mall is your best bet. It is approx 30 minutes south of Portland:

Then you should check out Bridgeport Mall in Lake Oswego for the big box stores:

And don't forget NW 23rd for unique shopping and great restaurants.

If you want something earthier, go to the Hawthorne district for funkier fashion and lots of granola cafes.

    I love them all.....happy shopping!!

Woodburn has outlet stores, Gresham has outlet stores, but your best bet would be to go to Bridgeport Village in Tigard.

Portland is not exactly known for its outlet malls.
