Auditing is a general word with different interpretation under different issue.
Auditing in general means a statutory audit on a company as required under the Companies Ordinance, Building Management Ordinace etc.. This auditing job must be carried out by a PRACTISING Certified Public Accountant registered under the Professional Accountants Ordinance with a practising certificate and an Auditor's Report has to be issued and attached to the financial statements.
Commercial auditing may means the internal auditing works carried out within the company for internal control purposes in principle. The person responsible for this job is the internal auditor.
There are other auditors etc. For example, Quality Auditor as required for quality audit under the ISO.
