Wikipedia states the 1974 film "Bad Ronald" was true & happened in Spencerville, NY. Where can I find info?

Yes, I know many have said it's not a true story, but what I'm looking for is someone who has proof or has read from a very reliable source that it either IS or ISN'T true. Opinions are not fact. Thanks!

That was a great film. I would imagine there might be something on thos Urban Legend web sites.

I have seen similar stories but they were after the film.
