Tentacles~This one can't even muster enough energy to ripoff. It's a "Jaws" nibbleoff.
The Unseen (2005)~I've never seen a film try so hard to be "meaningful" and touching but failing so miserably.
Under the Mistletoe~The ghost father even gets to suit up for some ice hockey before skating off into the glowing mist!
Open Water~I had to try this one in three separate chunks, wondering how people in peril in shark-infested waters could be so boring. Did they not understand why "Jaws" works? The inevitability of the situation kept me wondering: What's the point?
Actually, I could loop "The Titanic" for end-to-end showings. That would be torture! Or, I would condemn the person to an Adam Sandler/Will Ferrell marathon.
This would be IF the person shares my likes and dislikes of course.
Hey! I LIKE "Teenagers from Outer Space"! I saw it at the drive-in when I was quite young and have watched it a number of times since then, now that it shows up from time to time. I suppose you don't like "Space Children" either?
WHAT?! "Angry Red Planet" is a cult classic! Where else are you going to see a gigantic bat-rat-spider-whatever creature?! Or, what about the enormous critter that rises from the sea, the one with the cool spinning eye?! Some people do not appreciate imaginative filmmaking. I LOVE the red-negative look. After all, it IS the RED planet, true? *giggle*
