A quirky little quote I've come up with is that we are all...
Surfing the waves of iniquity, while seeking divinity.
But, of course, you then must begin to bring perspectives into the picture of anything and everything.
What is iniquity? What is divinity?
Each of these things is something different for each and every person, and we each ONLY get to decide for ourselves WHAT each of those words mean. And thus, the truth lies in each and every personal meaning.
If you tell me that these things mean "such-n-such," I may have a completely different opinion, and thus we will disagree. And, like the parable of the blind men and the elephant, I will think that I know the truth, and you will think you know the truth. So the truth can't lie within the description.
The truth lies in your own personal meaning and my own personal meaning; of which can only EVER be completely personal and within our own self.
Your truth, your religion, your life, etc., just like my truth, my religion, my life, is what brings about the pains and the joys that we all endure, personally, each and everyday. And it is those feelings, and those meanings, that are hidden beneath everything you choose to try and describe.
And THAT is the truth, to me.
So when we ask questions like "Are we evil or divine?" or "Are we born innocent?" It doesn't really matter what answer is given, because the answers are purely personal... always! But, underneath your own answer is a feeling - a truth - that can only ever be yours.
So, when can we go home? I guess that really depends on what each and every person considers home! Again, each person gets to decide the truth on that, for themselves!
