Hi, yeah a Macbook is a bit different. You will get used to it though. You will already know about ur dock bar right, operating a dock bar is a real pain in my opinion. Then in OS X u have a menu bar on the top panel that means for any running application the program in use will have its menu bar on top, as soon as u click on another window the menu bar for that program will appear. Its like a universal menu bar.
Right clicking on a Macbook is another pain, but thats something u will get used to as well with time. Installing applications is very easy. In OS X we use .dmg files which just need to be moved into ur application folder and thats it, the program is installed. If u want to uninstall a program then just take application from ur application folder into ur trash bin.
Many programs like yahoo messenger for Macs aren't as good as they r for Windows due to windows dominance in the market. You could always use iChat though. Anyway these r the basics, if u need any more help then just ask.
Good Luck and take care!
