Kapalua Airport (IATA: JHM, ICAO: PHJH), also called Kapalua West Maui Airport, is a regional airport of the State of Hawai'i. Located on the island of Maui off Honoapiilani Highway near the unincorporated town of Kapalua, Hawaii, most flights to Kapalua Airport originate from commuter airports on the other Hawaiian islands by commercial commuter services like Island Air and Pacific Wings, unscheduled air taxis and general aviation.

    * Island Air (officially Hawaii Island Air, Inc., doing business as Island Air) is an independent American commuter airline based in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA. It operates scheduled inter-island passenger services in Hawaii. Its main base is Honolulu International Airport[1] on Oahu, with a hub at Kahului Airport on Maui.

The airline maintains code sharing and frequent flyer agreements with Aloha Airlines, Continental Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, and United Airlines. It also operates its own frequent flyer program, Cloud 9.

    * Pacific Wings Airlines is an American commuter airline based in Kahului, Maui, Hawaii, USA. It operates over 90 daily scheduled departures, as well as VIP charter air services throughout Hawaii. Its main base is Kahului Airport, with hubs at Honolulu International Airport and Hana Airport.[1]

    Kapalua Airport (JHM)

The Kapalua Airport is a commercial service airport that is served by commercial propeller air carriers and commuter/air taxi aircraft only. This facility started as a private facility until its acquisition by the State. The facility consists of a single runway, terminal facilities, and support facilities. There are no air cargo facilities at this airport. Access to this airport is provided from a two-lane road off of Honoapiilani Highway. Improvements to this airport are limited to certain upgrades only. The runway, apron and other facilities cannot be expanded without changes to the existing agreement with the County of Maui. Operations are limited to daytime hours only

    Airline Transportation

Maui's main airport is Kahului Airport (OGG) in Central Maui. There is also a smaller airport in West Maui near Kapalua (JHM), and a commuter airport in Hana (HNM). All major airlines offer direct service to Maui from the U.S. Mainland and Canada
