An embarrassing situation

In 2004, I just came back from PingToung because of graduation. I tried so hard to practice my English speaking. I always pretent to be a foreighner when I go out. Once I went into a coffee shop selling the coffee bean and the equipment of making coffee. The clerk asked me, "May I help you?" I answered, "No, thanks. I just walk around." Then he asked me, "Where were you from? You looks like Tiwanese, but you speak English." I answered, "I am a Tiwanese but I have been living in America for a long time." "Which state?" he asked. "I lived in Canada." I answered. When I walked out the store, I just realized that Canada is not in America. These are two different countries. I'm so embarrassed about it. At that moment, I wanted to drill a whole and jumped into it.

2004年，我因為畢業剛從屏東回來，我很努力的嘗試練習自己的英文口說能力。當我出門，我總是假裝是外國人，有一次我走進一家賣咖啡豆和煮咖啡器具的店時，店員問我需不需要幫助？我用英文回答他：不用了！謝謝，我只是隨便看看。他又問我：你從哪裡來的，你看起來像台灣人，但是你卻講英文，我告訴他我是台灣人，但我在美國住了許多年。他問我住哪一州？我竟然回答他：加拿大

當我走出大門時，突然發現加拿大根本不在美國，它們是兩個不同的國家。我覺得超尷尬，當下我真想挖個地洞躲進去！
