On what occasions can men wear a flower on the lapel?

    On most occasions which call for formal wear. Depending on the occasion, one could wear a carnation (most common) or maybe a rose. Be sure it matches the tie and isn't louder than the rest of the look. One occasion I think you would not wear a flower in the lapel is a funeral.

    Formal events to designate him as a vip Or Celebrations where he is the guest of honor

    And if you really want to make him feel special give him one for his next Fishing Trip :)

    prom, possibly weddings or church, like Easter or Christmas; all I can think of
