John Ashcroft, former governor of Missouri, George Bush's Attorney General of the United States had nothing to do with funding of the war. You've been lied to. Remember who lied to you and what else they may have lied to you about.

John Ashcroft was the attorney general during President Bush's first term. He really didn't have much to do with funding as he was not a member of congress and couldn't vote on it.
Who said he's responsible for funding the war or the debt for the war?
Look, I certainly didn't like the guy as attorney general but funding the war wasn't his job.Source(s): http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/1120440.... http://www.sourcewatch.org/index.php?title=John_As... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Ashcroft http://www.reason.com/news/show/28443.html
