At my undergraduate school, it would have looked like the following (in order of decreasing difficulty): 1. Neuroscience 2. Environmental Engineering 3. Molecular Genetics 4. Biology 5. Environmental Science Of course, this is going to vary based on your undergraduate institution and your personal weaknesses and strengths.

It depends on the person. For example, I found Mathematics the easiest on this list. But most people who understand these topics would rank them as follows:

    Engineering (any)

    Mathematics

    Chemistry

    Statistics

    Philosophy

    Biology

    Psychology

    English

    Business Econ

    History

    Political Science

I would personally put Biology as the tougest -- because it is the one area that I don't get. A lot of people would put Philosophy lower. Those people never really studied philosophy.

As a point of reference, I have an undergraduate degree in Math. I've done graduate work in math and philosophy. I also have an MBA and a PhD in Financial Economics.

This can be easily ascertained by figuring the average salaries by people with this degree. The higher the salary, the more difficult the degree is.

Chemistry, Engineering and Stats will be in the higher ends, Mid level will be Biology, Math and Business...

while History, Political science and Psychology will be at the lower ends. Here is a good resource.

I am majoring in biology/chemistry-related subject, so humanities would be the most difficult.

From the most difficult to least difficult:

    English

    History, tied with Political Science

    Engineering

    Statistics

    Mathematics

    Philosophy

    Chemistry

    Biology

    Business/Econ

    Psychology

(and oh... physics would be as hard as engineering)

Source(s): personal experience with all of those courses
