Is this a good idea for destroying personal documents?
30 yrs of tax doc. needed destroyed so brother went to the Sporting Goods store, for $4.99 bought a deer game bag, a nit cloth bag, went to the laundry, used the large commercial washer, put in some bleach and money and got back a soggy mulch that went into the dumpster. Washer was clean.
NO hours spent over shredder while it overheats and shuts off and restarts to do it again.

If it was effective and didn't affect the washer then I don't see any problem with it.
