I would go for Hingis on this one.
I umpired Evert on an odd occasion or two:
This may be hard for some people to understand, but Chris actually used her femininity, her personal class and her coolness and calmness to great advantage, and would back those internal personal qualities to hold out her integrity, usually, longer than her opponent's could maintain theirs.
Basically, she had few weapons, except depth and placement and personal coolness, and she would rely on them to hold out over her opponent.
I would say, if the game played between her and Hingis was on clay, Evert may well have won, but I think that Hingis was a very self-determined player, had more physical prowess and power, has a brain in her head, and would probably win on most surfaces and occasions.
