What evolutionary advantage would having laser beam eyes provide?

Besides being able to go on laser beam fishing trips with Jesus.

    They could allow you to zap unbelievers during the Rapture (tm). Actually a Christian asked a question about the "Raptor" a while ago and we could have used a purple dinosaurs expertise...

    None. Even if it were possible, which it isn't; the conditions for laser action are highly artificial and there is negligible likelihood that such could arise genetically.

    You would be attractive to the opposite sex. When they say "His eyes were so intense, they just cut straight through me" they'd mean it.
