can i use AIM on my phone without being charged?

Question

im with at&t. i have a family plan for 550 min a month. i have 1500 txts a month. i never saw anything that even mentioned instant messeging, but last night i tried to sign on from my phone and it woked...i even talked to people, but i signed off affter a minute because i wasnt sure if they were going to charge me.

so can they charge me? or does it com e for free with the phone? {btw... i have the new samsung
