How long till i can cash savings bonds?

I recently won $2800 in savings bonds at a race, and i need the money to buy a new dirt bike and can i cash those bonds Issue date was july of 2007. I know they will only be worth like $1400 but can i still cash them. i live in california they are ee bonds

At least 1 year, but I would hold them for 5 years, or you will also pay a penalty on them.

i think you can. Just call your bank they will know.
