    40 km square

    10,000 mm cube

Source(s): my brain, because to convert 40,000 cm square to km square you need to divide 40,000 by 1000 to get the km square and for the 10 m cubed you need to multiply by 1000 to get the mm cubed

    100000 cm = 1 km = 10^5 cm

    1 cm = 10^-5 km

    so, 1cm² = 10^-10 km²

    40000 cm²= 40000 * 10^-10 = 4* 10^-6 km²

    Ans: 40000 cm² = 4 * 10^-6 km²

    1 m = 1000 mm = 10³ mm

    1 m³ = 10^9 mm³

    Ans: 10 m³ = 10^10 mm³

First answer is not correct. There are 10^2 centimeters in a meter, and 10^3 meters in a kilometer, so 10^5 centimeters in a kilometer, and 10^10 square centimeters in a square kilometer. And 40,000 divided by 1E10 is 4E-6.

cm to m : divide 100, cm -squared to m-squared: divide by 100- squared (10000).

    m to km: divide by a 1000, m-squared to km squared: divide by a 1000-squared (million- 1000 000)

    so the answer will be 40 000 divided by (10 000 x 1000 000).

try the same for the other conversion. (instead of squared, it's cubed).

    I know these are right!

    40,000 cm^2 = ? km^2

    - 1 m^2 = 10,000 cm^2 (1m = 100cm)

    - 1 km^2 = 1,000,000 m^2

    - 40000/(10,000*1,000,000) = 4E-6 km^2

    10 m^3 = ? mm^3

    - 1 m^3 = 1,000,000,000 mm^3 (1m = 1000mm)

    - 10*1,000,000,000 = 10,000,000,000 = 1E10 mm^3

You can solve both of these with simple stoichiometry.

    0.4km - 1000 m in km

    100cm in m
