Rampart? in relation to the LAPD?

It´s from LA Dragnet that I´m translating.

The whole sentece is:

"Rampart’s slammed right now. We

caught it, we’ll close it."

What is it?

Need clues?

Rampart Division covers west and northwest of Downtown Los Angeles. Including Echo Park, Pico-Union and Westlake.

Rampart is the division where Friday worked out of.

We caught it, we'll close it means they will investigate the case and see it through

In human speak, this police radio jargon means:

Rampart (division) is completely overloaded with calls for police response right now.

This call was diverted to our division. Therefore, we took the call. We'll investigate & follow it through to closure/completion.
