The United States things that Taiwan needs to get smarter.

Actually , it is talking about an “intelligence”blind spot where Taiwan is not fully aware of what the ground forces of the People’s Liberation Army do.

The world power is concerned about whether Taiwan could properly defend itself if attacked by China.

China has threatened time and again to invade if the country persists in moving toward independence .

The States is suggesting that Taiwan purchase two intelligence-gathering devices-a radar satellite (SAR) and a signals intelligence aircraft(SIGINT).

At this time, the intelligence system that Taiwan has is limited and thus insufficient to intercept certain communications from China in the event of an attack.

Of course, the Taiwan Relations Act, passed by the US in 1979, obligates America to provide Taiwan with the weapons needed to defend itself in the event of a cross-strait war.

However, with the US and China becoming friendlier, can such an Act really be depended on?
