    ok...........I'll assume you know about the 5 line staff, right? There are five parallel lines. There are four spaces between them. If you draw a note (a circle with a horizontal line along one side of the it), an A will sit on the second space up from the bottom of the 5 lines. Then, B, C, D, etc. will sit in order ascending from the A. So the B sits on the 3rd line (which is the middle line of the 5 lines), the C sits in the 3rd space above the 3rd line, the D sits on the 3rd space up from the bottom, etc. , continuing upward through the G, which will sit on the "space" directly above the top line of the 5 lines. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. lol
