Try VideoGet. It downloads from YouTube and other 200+ video websites. And convert them into MP3, WMV, AVI, MPG, 3GP, MP4, etc

Everytime you watch a video in YouTube a copy gets cached on your hard-drive ... you should notice that the second time you watch a vid it loads a lot faster than it did the first time around.

However, your cache is usually limited - I think most browsers have a default of about 50mb, which isn't a lot - the average YouTube vid is about 10 - 15mb. So whenever you run out of space, the older files cached in that directory get overwritten.

What you can do is increase the size of your cache, in Firefox , go to Tools -> Options. Then under the Advanced tab you'll see an option for setting your cache size - you can increase it there.

Another option would be to download the Youtube videos to your PC - go to http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php and paste the link of the video (found in the address bar at the top of your browser) into the box at the top of the site. Click download and presto :)

Of course, you need to make sure you have a player that can play .flv files, but in this case the abovementioned site can do conversions to .avi for you as well or download a free FLV player ... so its pretty useful all round :)

Not much you can do about the video quality though

Have you noticed the volume box in the bottom right corner of the video screen. You might have turned it down or muted it before and a cookie might have kept it that way. or ... 2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic. Try watching it during off peak hours, the sound play will probably play better. Or you could watch it offline... try using 'zillatube' . It plays the video much smoother and better. It works very well....just google search for "zillatube", and select the first search result for download...

Here are a couple ways and links to the site or application

    1. This one is probably the best one to use. Download videos DIRECT from most video sites Copy the link of the page with the video on it and paste it into box on keepvid.com website

    http://keepvid.com/

To download a video to your computer, enter the YouTube URL for the video in the box on the website below. It will be downloaded in flv format - use VLC or another compatible player to view it.
